At aelkemi of soma, our approach is grounded in a deep understanding of nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care. We gently weave together mind-body-soul therapies, reiki energy healing, yoga, somatic movement and breath, and sacred ritual to support emotional healing, trauma integration, and the restoration of your body’s natural energetic flow.

Facilitated by Kate—somatic therapist, energy practitioner, yoga guide, and cacao ceremony holder—these offerings create a compassionate space for deep inner connection and embodied transformation.

What is Somatic therapy?

Somatic therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on the connection between the mind and body to help you process trauma and release stored stress and tension and emotions. It uses a combination of techniques such as breathwork, movement, mindfulness, self-regulation skills and processing techniques to support emotional regulation and healing.

It’s based on the understanding that difficult experiences—especially trauma—don’t just affect our thoughts, they also live in our bodies.

Somatic therapy creates a safe space to slow down, listen to your body, and begin to heal from the inside out.
